THIS IS A THREE DAY IN-PERSON COURSE 9:00-5:00 ONE DAY PER WEEK FOR THREE WEEKS

- thoroughly review the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines SPECIFICATION
IN THREE FULL-DAY SESSIONS YOU WILL LEARN:
- how environmental factors and grape growing options influence the style and quality of wine
- how winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wine
- the characteristics of key grape varieties and the key factors that influence their style and quality
- detail on classic wine regions and regional specialties
- the key factors in the production process that influence the style of sparkling and fortified wines
- managing proper storage and service of wine
- more on the fundamentals of food and wine pairing
YOU WILL TASTE:
- OVER 40 benchmark wines representing key grape varieties from classic wine regions as well as regional specialties
YOU WILL BE TESTED:
- with a 60 minute closed book exam consisting of 50 multiple choice questions requiring a minimum grade of 55% to pass
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE AWARDED:
- an internationally recognized formal qualification in wine
- an official WSET certificate and lapel pin
