IN ONE DAY YOU WILL LEARN:
- the basics on grape growing and winemaking
- how to taste and describe wine
- the foundations of food and wine pairing
- classic grape varieties and their characteristics
- the range of types and styles of wine (sparkling/still/fortified)
- key factors in the storage and service of wine
YOU WILL TASTE:
- 12 benchmark wines representing key grape varieties from classic wine regions as well as regional specialties
YOU WILL BE TESTED:
- with a 45 minute closed book exam consisting of 30 multiple choice questions requiring a minimum grade of 70% to pass
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE AWARDED:
- an internationally recognized formal qualification in wine
- an official WSET certificate and lapel pin
